This behavior isn’t surprising since coupons provide consumers with value. For example, when someone is looking for shoes, they’re not likely to buy the most expensive pair but instead will use a $20 off coupon for a $100 pair. While it may seem counterintuitive, it’s a basic principle of human psychology.
The digital age made it easier to access and use coupons. Digital coupons, such as those available through mobile phones ProDentim Promo Code, prompted a resurgence of couponing. According to a recent study by RetailMeNot, more than 142 million American adults will use coupons in 2020. And more than half will look for coupons on store websites.
Although traditional paper coupons still have their place, many consumers are opting for paperless coupons. While 57% of shoppers still use newspaper coupons, 51% now use digital ones.
